Data Warehouse Teradata Developer
Location:Chicago, IL
Duration:3-6months

                
Seeking a Data Warehouse Teradata Developer to assist in new ETL development and add efficiencies to existing ETL scripts.

Responsibilities include:
* Delivers and supports physical database structures for ETL development efforts.
* Incorporates any new physical database structures into the existing database environments.
* Designs, develops, and supports Teradata components.
* Contribute Teradata expertise to architecture and approach exercises to maintain consistency and standardization within the business intelligence environment.
* Perform unit testing for his and other developers ETL.
* Educates and trains other ETL developers and helps develop ETL components according to Teradata recommended best practices.


Requirements:
* Minimum 8 years overall IT Experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and other developers.
* 5+ years experience as a Teradata Database Developer.
* 5+ years developing and tuning Teradata database SQL queries, views, stored procedures and table/index objects in Teradata.
* Advanced Teradata skills (e.g., SQL, FastExport, MLoad, compression), minimum of 5 years experience
* Experience in data warehousing/data mart environment
* Experience in data profiling, data analysis, data quality checking
* Certified professional in Teradata 12.0 preferred.
