US IT HOTLIST REQUIREMENT.....NEED JAVA DEV.....WTH STRONG DB2 EXP

Hope you are doing well. We have an urgent requirement for the following position:

 

Position: Java Dev….. Need Strong DB2 Experience

Location: Indianapolis IN

Duration: 1 year contract  

Interview : Phone

 

Representative duties include

·         Will design, code, test, debug and document new JAVA based business application solutions and/or make enhancements to existing application software (JAVA, Web Services, or in Business Process Management (BPM 7.x);

·         Applies deep understanding of application delivery in the JAVA model, including but not limited to JAVA Framework, XML, web services and associated technologies and standards SQ;

·         Will assist, train, menitor and possibly direct the work of less experienced application development staff; and assist with development tasks for difficult and highly complex JAVA based programs;

·         Will use case tools and/or development software tools and/or life-cycle tools;

·         Provides technical leadership on complex projects for ISETS / INVEST;

·         Supports and promotes the current ISETS Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and works to continually use and improve the INVEST Governance process.

·         Projects software and hardware design for application software within, and outside of, main application, ISETS;

·         Confers with DCS management to assist in planning, organizing and controlling activities for highly specialized technical areas;

·         Confers with child support stakeholders to provide analysis to formulate and define system functional requirements, scope and objectives; establish priorities, and monitor progress of information systems in highly specialized areas;

·         Devises or modifies ISETS functional procedures to solve highly complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results; to obtain maximum computer utilization.

·         Prepare detail project feasibility studies, formulate complete system scope, project cost, time estimates and human resource and IT infrastructure requirements for new and existing computer information systems;

·         Prepares detailed functional specifications from which application software will be written;

·         Executes and monitors that tasks conform to project standards, policies and procedures;

·         Monitor application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance;

·         Provides complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs;

·         May act as expert in business or functional area;

·         May function as Team and/or Project lead responsible for completion of project phase;

·         Performs related duties as required.

 

Job Requirements

·         Thorough knowledge of JAVA based information systems design principles and object oriented technology based systems design and development techniques;

·         Thorough knowledge of information systems design principles and new systems design techniques;

·         Thorough knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development;

·         Thorough knowledge of industry standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development;

·         Thorough knowledge of application development software tools and application development software languages;

·         Thorough knowledge of the most recent advancement of information technology equipment, operation, capabilities;

·         Thorough knowledge of both system and business applications and competent to work at the highest technical level and/or specialized area;

·         Thorough knowledge of transition from legacy Mainframe environment to Object Oriented platform;

·         Ability to work independently under general direction;

·         Ability to manage multiple software development projects or existing systems and related priorities;

·         Ability to evaluate service offerings from competing vendors based on established criteria and personal experience;

·         Ability to read and understand complicated technical manuals;

·         Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others;

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;

·         Ability to learn and grow knowledge of Child Support Enforcement.

 

 

 

Difficulty of Work

Employee applies application development techniques and general agency guidelines in developing highly technical and/or specialized computer information systems for variety of business areas, using considerable technical judgment in selecting those techniques and procedure most pertinent. Assignments involve developing new innovative and enhancements to existing, highly technical state-of-the-art information systems applying procedures and adopting techniques to meet application software requirements effectively and efficiently. Employee works with higher level management to plan, design and development information systems that address the goals and objectives set forth and involve providing critical technology submissions and/or alternatives that affect the project or unit organization's effectiveness. Assignments are carried out conforming to agency policies, standards, procedures and techniques.

 

Responsibility

Employee works as a highly technical specialist, responsible for developing complex computer information systems for a variety of agency and program areas.  Employee works with higher level management to plan project goals and is accountable for the quality of work performed. Work has a direct influence and impact on the agency ability to successfully administer the business operation, on management decisions and has an impact on an individual agency's budget.  Completed assignments are reviewed for compliance with policies, standards, procedure and achievement of the desired objectives.

 

Personal Work Relationships

Works with agency user community, agency management, and other department staff to define problems, system requirements and establish priorities and monitor progress to develop and maintain information systems.  Employee works cooperatively with supervisor, manager, and other technical staff, agency personnel and other external business entities necessary for delivering successful information systems.
