US IT HOTLIST Requirement for Java/J2EE Lead

Location :CA

Duration : 6+ Months.

 

Responsibilities

·         Primary responsibilities include designing, developing and implementing J2EE/.NET applications and maintaining technical documentation and validating automated tests throughout the project lifecycle

·         Expert understanding of the technical ecosystem leveraged by the solution and complementary applications to provide architectural direction to developers, testers and systems engineers

·         Maintenance of technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle

·         Understanding of the technical ecosystem leveraged by the solution and complementary applications

·         Provides technical support through all development and testing phases

·         Perform any necessary configuration and performance tuning

·         Guide other developers in the team during the implementation process

·         Responsible for communicating with QA and performance testing teams to deliver a high quality solution offering

·         Team includes onsite PM, BA, Tester and 4 offshore resources (2 Silverlight, 2 J2EE)

·         Resource is expected to work with onsite team and manage 4 offshore developers

·         Resource is also expected to be able to do J2EE development to be able to turn code around during onsite hours when required

·         Resource will work with Fox SOA team members

·         Resource will support the Team which provides production-fix & enhancements to several Fox Portals including HEI-WIP (Home Entertainment International Work in Progress), iWIPS (International Work In Progress), Esprit Portal (Fox Enterprise Digital Asset Management site with 6000+ users)

Qualifications/Requirements

·         Well versed in J2EE solutions and comfortable coding in these environments

·         Expert understanding of SDLC from design through production implementation (Agile and Waterfall)

·         Understanding of build cycles, enhancement and production operations of the digital asset management system

·         Needs to have expertise in Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF)

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, works effectively as a team player.

·         Organized with an ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively

·         Must have the ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions

·         Experience supporting a high-availability environment, nearly 24/7 operation

·         Experience with application and web servers (Jboss / Weblogic etc) a plus

·         Basic knowledge of UNIX

·         Oracle database development – Good DB knowledge

·         HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX is preferred

·         Good understanding and experience using web services

Desired Characteristics

·         SOA and DAM expertise is a plus

·         Data management expertise is a plus

·         HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX is preferred

·         Experience with service-oriented architectures a plus
