Level/Years of Experience   : Senior (not Architect)/8 years+

KEY SKILLS:

·         Cisco optical configuration, support, integration and troubleshooting

 SUMMARY:

·         Developing and executing test cases for new CORE / UVN 15454 and CTM/PRIME releases

·         Provide on-site lab optical support

·         Support Operational Readiness Testing

·         Review Cisco Product Documentation

·         Testing CTM's northbound interfaces to OSSs

·         Identifying and coordinating the resolution of issues identified in the lab with the Business Unit

·         Provide remote support for system test and field trials

·         Provide lab training and SE Field training on new platforms and releases

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cisco's Optical portfolio with a strong Optical/Ethernet background and relevant technical certifications.  

·         The position typically requires BS, CS, or University degree equivalent plus 6-8 years of experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.

·         The individual must be located in reasonable proximity to the customer location as the job requires substantial on-site time.
