Job Title :  ETL Developer

Location :  Columbus Ohio

Duration : 6+ months

 

Required Skills/Years:
Exp develop extract, transformation and loading (ETL) prog for data repository, DB reporting of DW or BI projs w/Inform Powercenter 8.6 or above:  5
Exp developing and testing complex SQL using DB2/LUW (UDB) 9.x or higher.  SQL project exp may overlap with Data Repository or WH project exp:  5
Exp in planning, testing and documenting Informatica processes and specifications using PowerCenter version 8.X or 9.X:  2
Exp with DW and BI database architecture and systems devel lifecycle methodology (i.e. Star Schema meth or similar):  5
Core undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field

 

Desired:
Possesses Informatica professional certifications
ONE (1) Informatica ETL developer with experience developing and documenting  extract, transformation and loading (ETL) programs for Data Depository, Data Base Reporting or Warehousing or Business Intelligence projects using Informatica PowerCenter version 8.6.

 

Responsibilities to include:
1.            Review and analyze ETL business and system requirements for the Auditing data subsystems.
2.            Perform data analysis to determine structure/quality of data.
3.            Write and optimize SQL code and stored procedures.
4.            Review previous ETL developed processes and evaluate code and processes for efficiency, providing upgrade recommendations.
5.            Design, develop, implement and assist in validating ETL processes.
6.            Develop complex Informatica mapping / sessions / workflows.
7.            Create and execute unit test plans based on system and validation requirements.
8.            Troubleshoot, optimize and fine tune ETL processes.
9.            Document all ETL related work per state methodology
10.          Maintain existing code and fix bugs when needed
11.          Ensure all schedules for loading/validating data are met
12.          Self-manage time and task priorities to meet project timelines and identify potential project risks
13.          Manage multiple work assignments to meet project timelines
14.          Create/submit weekly projects status reports and timesheets
