oracle Pl/sql developer

Location: Houston TX

Duration:6plus months

 

 

Summary:

Design, develop, maintain, enhance and support application programs and processes. Interface with clients to determine requirements and resolve issues. Provide subject matter expertise to the business client in order to assist with problem solving

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with team members. Establish detailed program specifications through discussions. Clarifying what actions the program is intended to perform
• Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language
• Combining all elements of the program design and testing it
• Testing sample data-sets to check results if working at expected. Developing cutover plans for implementing applications into production
• Reacting to issues/concerns and correcting application. Adapting the program to new requirements, as necessary.
• Evaluating and increasing the program's effectiveness. Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately;
• Writing detailed documentation for production support team.;
• Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing applications
• Regularly report status and raise issues/risks as appropriate.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in custom Oracle PL/SQL development
• 3+ years of experience in UNIX/AIX development
• Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
• Detail oriented, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Works effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem resolution skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to work under pressure
