Position: VM Ware/ Windows Server Administrator

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: Long Term

 

Duties:

·         Support Production and lab Operations Virtual Machine Management, i.e. planning, add, change, delete requests; maintain operational service levels and quality objectives as they are established

·         Support all Production and Lab Operation hardware infrastructure service functions, i.e. technical support, deployments, troubleshooting, planning and reporting

·         Participate in project team activities and complete assigned tasks in support of deployments

·         Provide/Maintain documentation and status updates related to infrastructure deployment and requests on a case by case basis

·         Engage with data center hosting providers to determine hosting/deployment requirements

·         Support lab infrastructure both virtual and physical to meet MPSD business requirements

·         Troubleshoot production or lab issues related to virtual machines, hardware, and network configuration

·         T-SQL query creation including performance tuning

·         Troubleshoot SQL related issues such as replication

 

Ideal candidate would have strong knowledge and experience with the following technologies:

• Hyper-V
• Windows Server 2008 R2
• System Center 2012 Virtual Machine manager
• Power Shell Scripting
• Hardware diagnostics
• Various network protocols
• Designing a highly available cluster environment
• EMC & NetApp SAN Infrastructure
• DBA experience a plus
