US IT HOTLIST Front-end Web Developer needed

Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 6 months contract to hire
 
Job Description:

 

A full-time position for a mid to senior level front-end web developer with strong JavaScript and CSS skills; must have the ability to transform creative design into an interactive user experience using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript best practices and experience with writing efficient re-usable code.

As a front-end engineer you will develop HTML, CSS and JavaScript based on designs and requirements provided to you.  The front-end engineer will also provide estimates, suggestions and feasibility to program managers.

Technical Requirements:

 

*         HTML/HTML5

 

*         CSS/CSS3

 

*         3+ years JavaScript

 

*         2+ years jQuery/jQuery UI

 

*         Working knowledge of server side programming language

(ASP.Net, PHP)

 

*         Knowledge of page speed optimization best practices

 

*         Understanding of http waterfall charts and tools to measure

and improve page load times

 

*         Familiarity with writing efficient (and DRY) CSS/JS

 

*         Familiar with polyfills, shims and progressive enhancement

 

*         Proficient with debugging JavaScript, adding breakpoints and

stepping through scripts

 

*         Understanding of SEO best practices and standards

 

*         Familiarity with Photoshop
