Job Description:
Client is currently searching for 2 PeopleSoft System Administrators. The candidate will support the Project Manager(s) and will be responsible to support and maintain PeopleSoft 8.x environments from a system administration perspective. This person should be self driven and have the ability to solve problems independently. A high level of knowledge of PeopleSoft 8.x architecture and how it works is required.
This person should feel comfortable meeting with the IS Application Developers, Project Managers and Supervisors to understand their issues in detail and excel in proposing and implementing solutions to resolve those issues. Strong interpersonal skills are also required to effectively communicate with other project team members and application development and support teams.
Requirements:
Ability to independently support and maintain existing PeopleSoft 8.x environments.
Ability to independently solve issues related to existing production PeopleSoft 8.x environments.
o Including solving performance problems related to PeopleSoft.
o Assisting Application Development and Support teams to determine root cause of problems
Ability to independently upgrade PeopleSoft 8.x environments to later release/versions
o PeopleTools upgrades from 8.46 to 8.51
o Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems that may arise during the upgrade and migration process.
Ability to install, deploy and use PeopleSoft Test Framework.
Ability to install and configure a PeopleSoft 8.x environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Additional Qualifications (These would be considered a plus):
Hyperion System Administration
Oracle dba experience with versions 9i, 10g, and 11g
Familiarity with HP UX and AIX operating systems in a PeopleSoft 8.x environment
