Location: NW Houston

Scope/Requirements:

                Programmer Analyst

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with 4+ years as a Software Developer or related work experience
• Experience with programming languages include: 3+ years ASP.NET, 3+ years C#, 3+ years database development (PL/SQL preferred), 3+ years Visual Studio 2005/2008, 1+ years nUnit preferred
• JQuery, MVC is a plus
• Experience in Retail Energy industry is a plus as well.
• Experience in the following databases: Oracle 9i & 10g, MS SQL Server
• 3 years' experience in architecting n-tier distributed web-based applications utilizing layered architecture (UI-Processing, Service/Façade Interface, Business, Data Access, and Data Manipulation layers)
• Ability to effectively communication and convey information.
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Exhibit ability to be a strong team player.
• Ability to effectively communicate and convey information
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
• Understanding of Windows 2003/2008 & IIS based server environments.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
• Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult forms
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch between them quickly and efficiently

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine functional requirements
• Design and develop web-based solutions
• Troubleshoot and support web-based solutions
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small group

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication skills
• Proficient ASP.net and C# developer (Visual Studio 2008 – 2012 | VB.net & C# | .NET Framework 3.5+)
• Proficient SQL developer (SQL Server 2008 – 2012)
• At least Novice to Advanced Beginner skills working with SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services
• Competent design skills—developer should be able to identify and implement applications with a good user experience
• Advanced beginner experience with SharePoint a plus (no development experience required)
• Proficient at understanding customer needs from the perspective of the business and designing a technical solution
• Competent with simple project management duties (primarily task prioritization and delegation)
