Bentley Emirates inaugurates new facilities in UAE, showcases EXP 9 F Concept SUV
With the inauguration of a spanking new showroom in Abu Dhabi and world's biggest Bentley workshop in Dubai Industrial City, Bentley Emirates is further cementing its position in the UAE.
Talking to AutoMiddleEast.com, Geoff Dowding, Regional Director for UK, Middle East and Asia at Bentley Motors confirmed that the UAE was only second to China in Bentley global sales tally.
2012 is shaping up to be the best year for Bentley in the Middle East in terms of sales of new cars, with 50% of total sales coming from UAE alone. The luxury car maker is experiencing high demands for its cars in the region resulting in a 100% year on year growth.
A new, gigantic 189,000 sq ft workshop – largest Bentley service facility in the world located at the Dubai Industrial City will enhance customer experience. Other than the Bentley factory, the new Bentley Emirates workshop is probably the only place in the world where one can see over a 100 Bentley cars under the same roof.
To mark this special occasion, Bentley showcased the EXP 9 F Concept SUV. A team of 80 skilled craftsmen took just 3 months to create a one off unit of the ultra high performance, ultra high luxury concept SUV to life from its clay models. Boldly handcrafted, the EXP 9 F Concept SUV features a W12 engine and redefines luxury in all areas. The futuristic interiors of this concept SUV are a step away from the conservative designs expected from a ultra luxury car maker such as Bentley.
Bentley claims that no decision on its production version has been made as yet. Considering the fact that the EXP 9 F is also being showcased to select existing Bentley owners and potential buyers from across the region, a decision is likely soon.
AutoMiddleEast.com has learnt that the real life version will see light of the day sometimes in 2016 and that 450 orders from the region have already been confirmed.
